How the conventional estimate works
Amount financed = max(0, price + financed fees − down payment). Monthly rate = (entered annual benchmark + spread) ÷ 1,200. For principal P, monthly rate r and term n, payment = P × r ÷ (1 − (1 + r)⁻ⁿ). At zero rate, payment = P ÷ n. Interest and payments round to cents; the final installment reconciles the balance. This does not implement future KIBOR resets.
How the Islamic quote summary works
Gross cash paid = upfront cash + separate fees + all entered rentals, unit purchases and other monthly charges + separate final purchase. Net cash = gross cash − explicitly entered deposit return. A deposit credited against a purchase must not also be deducted as a refund. Ijarah monthly purchases must be zero; ownership contribution in Diminishing Musharakah is not treated as a refundable deposit.
Worked example with UNVERIFIED scenario inputs
A purely hypothetical PKR 120,000 purchase, PKR 20,000 down, zero fees and zero annual rate over ten months creates PKR 100,000 financing and PKR 10,000 monthly payments. This is arithmetic, not a zero-rate offer. For an Ijarah addition example, PKR 1,000 upfront, two PKR 100 rentals and PKR 50 separate fees total PKR 1,250 gross; an explicitly assumed PKR 500 deposit return leaves PKR 750 net cash. These amounts are not market prices or product terms.
